Huts with heart…

Interior of a kitchen with a blue cabinet, a fruit bowl, white beadboard walls, a sliding barn door on a track, and a small laundry sink room visible through the open door. There is a window to the right and a ceiling spotlight down.

Welcome to Herefordshire Huts, where all our projects are unique. It’s never been our intention to build the same hut twice and as such, each project is bespoke.

You can be as involved as much as you desire, or rely on our extensive experience and have the hut of your dreams take shape.

Keeping it local…

We use as many locally sourced materials and as many local tradespeople as possible - for example, the windows are made to order by a local joiner and friend. The steel was supplied locally and built in-house by us and the wheels were fabricated by a local company.

If you choose to have a hut built by us you will be involved from start to finish and can call by and take a look at any time, you can even meet any of the local trades we use.

The timber cladding we use on the outside of our huts is called Accoya (Radiata Pine). This is a wood that has gone through a pickling process, which makes it better than most hardwoods and is also known to outlast most hardwoods without having to be treated.

Accoya is also a wood that has one of the lowest carbon footprints we could find.

A cozy bedroom with white paneled walls, a bed with white bedding, and three pillows: two orange textured pillows and one decorative pillow with a colorful octopus design. Two wall-mounted reading lights are above the bed, and a small shelf with a hanging plant and electrical outlets is behind the pillows.

Every detail considered…

Small space design is a challenge. Every inch needs to have purpose as well as beauty - and that’s why we agonise over every little detail. From switches to storage, from cladding to colours, we make sure everything works the way you want.
